Strendingur's Privacy Policy

Your privacy is of great importance to Strending inc. engineering services. This policy applies to personal information whether it is collected and stored electronically, on paper or in other comparable ways. The policy applies to the registration, storage and processing of personal information. The policy is accessible on the company's website. II. PERSONAL PROTECTION LAW The processing of personal information is subject to the laws on personal protection and the processing of personal information as they are in force at any time. The law covers, among other things, the processing, storage and dissemination of personal information.

We collect information about: • your name, social security number, type, scope and date of transactions in order to fulfill our obligations under the Accounting Act. You can view and use the Strendingur inc. website without providing any personal information. We do not collect information that your browser sends when you use our services, i.e. data that may include information such as your IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of the service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time you spent on these pages and other statistical data.

We never sell personal information about you. We never share personal information with third parties without your consent to the sharing (which you are free to refuse) except where we are required to do so by law or in the cases listed in Section IV. or in the next paragraph. We may share personal information with third parties (processors) who are our service providers, agents or contractors for the purpose of completing a task or providing you with a service or product that you have requested or agreed to. We may also share information with processors when it is necessary to protect vital interests, e.g. when collecting a default claim. We only provide the processors with the personal information that is necessary for them for the above-mentioned purposes and we then enter into an agreement where they undertake to keep your information secure and use it only for the above-mentioned purposes. In addition, your attention is drawn to the fact that all content that you publish or share on our social media pages is public information.

The Privacy Policy does not cover information or processing by third parties over whom we have no control, nor are we responsible for their use, disclosure or other processing of personal information. We therefore encourage you to familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of third parties, including the web hosts of the pages that may link to ours, e.g. software companies such as Facebook, Apple, Google and Microsoft, as well as the payment service you choose to use.

Strendingur inc. places great emphasis on protecting all personal data and therefore has an internal control system that is intended to ensure that appropriate technical and organizational security measures are always taken. We will notify you without undue delay if there is a security breach involving your personal data that poses a high risk to you. A security breach in the above sense refers to a breach of security that leads to the unintentional or unlawful destruction of personal data or to their loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorized access. However, your attention is drawn to the fact that you are responsible for personal data, e.g. name, ID number and photo, which you choose to share or send in a public forum, e.g. via TripAdvisor, a chat room or the Facebook page of Strendingur inc. We would also like to point out that data transmission over the internet is never completely secure. You are therefore advised to inform us immediately if you believe that certain information you have given us is at risk.

Strendingur inc. makes every effort to keep your personal information accurate and reliable and updates it as necessary. We will store your personal information for a maximum of two years from the end of the transaction unless you have given us your consent to store it for longer or if it is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation. We will review all personal information about you once a year and review whether we are permitted to continue to store it. If we decide that we are not permitted to continue to store it, we will cease all processing of the personal information from that time. If there is a possibility that the personal information may be needed later to comply with legal obligations, e.g. to tax authorities, or to assert or defend legal claims, we will make a copy of the relevant personal information and store it in a secure format for as long as necessary.

You have the right and may request the following information by sending a written inquiry to trendingur@strendingur.is: a) to be informed of what personal data is registered about you and how it was obtained and to gain access to the personal data, b) to receive information about how personal data about you is processed, c) to have personal data about you updated and corrected, d) to have personal data about you deleted, if there is no longer a legitimate reason for preserving it, e) to object to and/or restrict how personal data is processed, f) to receive personal data that you have provided to us or to have it sent directly to another party with the restrictions imposed by the rights and freedoms of others, g) to withdraw your consent to processing when processing is based on the authorization in the same way as you gave it or by sending us a written inquiry, h) to receive information about whether automated decision-making is taking place, including profiling and the reasons for it, as well as the significance and intended consequences of such processing. Your request will be considered and the information will be provided to you, where applicable, within a reasonable time, subject to the limitations imposed by the rights and freedoms of others, including trade secrets and intellectual property rights. Please note that a separate photocopying fee will be charged if more than one copy is requested. You will be notified and given an explanation if there is a delay in processing or if it is not possible to comply with your request in full no later than one month from its receipt. You may complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority if we refuse to provide you with certain information.

Personal information about children under the age of 13 is not collected.

The Privacy Policy is reviewed regularly and may therefore be subject to change. You are therefore advised to review the Privacy Policy regularly, but changes to the policy will become effective upon publication on the company's website; https://www.strendingur.is. We welcome all comments on the Privacy Policy and encourage you to send us an inquiry.
