Strendingur was managed the construction of the extension at Fjörður, shopping mall, in the center of Hafnarfjörður - about 8,700 square meters. 31 luxury apartments were built there, located from the second to the seventh floor. On the first floor of the extension is a retail space with a variety of shops and restaurants. On the second floor is a modern library, a multimedia center that offers work facilities, a book cafe, a recording studio, meeting facilities, etc. Hotel apartments were built in houses facing Strandgata with shops on the lower floors. There is a car garage under the entire building that connects to the existing car garage.

Construction ManagementWe oversee communication with building authorities and ensure construction complies with laws and regulations. We manage drawings and specifications, update changes, and distribute them to all relevant parties. We also ensure professionals have access to current documents and that inspections meet regulatory requirements.

Design ManagementStrendingur’s design management service involves assisting clients in defining projects, coordinating and overseeing the work of designers, managing contracts with designers, and ensuring efficient information flow and communication between all participating parties.

Supervision and MonitoringWe offer management and supervision services. This includes: Managing and operating the contract between the buyer/client and the contractor/vendor, keeping an overview of scope and costs, managing data, and ensuring the necessary information flow.

Tendering/Procurement and ContractingAdvises on selecting and approaching contractors, service providers, or suppliers, directly or through tenders. Ensures clear contract frameworks, feasibility assessments, and support in finalization.
